Adding Video via Hosted Video Services in HTML

This is the most in the straightforward way of adding video to a Web page. There are several video hosting services, the more popular of which are YouTube, Vimeo, and Metacafe. These services allow users to upload videos and provide the procedure to follow and the necessary HTML codes for accessing the videos from a Web page. The advantages of using them are that they provide players that are widely supported by browsers, automatically encode videos into suitable formats, and are typically free, as they get their money from adverts. The disadvantages include making uploaded videos available on their site instead of on your site only (whether or not you like it), using video quality that is not appropriate for content, and having restrictions in terms of video content, for example, videos may not be allowed to carry adverts.
