Joomla provides two search components:
- Search: Meant for smaller sites, this type of search is easy to set up.
- Smart Search: Meant for larger sites, this type of search provides advanced filters to implement smart Because this search system indexes the entire site and searches from the indexed content, it is faster, too.
Note Only one of the search components must be active at a time to avoid confusion because both are incompatible.
