Lesson 55bis: How to fix a stuck during importing file in All-in-One WP Migration

When importing old file for many years in All-in-One WP Migration, stuck can occur because some plugins are no longer compatible or supported. How to fix it.

In fact, you can see that the import process seem stop with an unchanged screen.

For caution, wait for 15 – 30′, then, access to your new website and the admin dashboard, you may see some errors as following:

Then, connect to your WordPress site via SFTP via an FTP client such as FileZilla or directly by using FTP of your hosting.

Login via FTP and navigate to the plugins folder by the following path: … htdocs\folder of your website\wp-content\plugins to see the folders for each plugin.

Right-click on the name of the plugin and click Delete.

Go back to the interface of All-in-One WP Migration, now, you will see that the import process has finished successfully.

If you don’t recognize the name of the plugin in the directory, go back to your dashboard plugins tab to verify you are deleting the correct plugin.

Continue to access your website and the WordPress admin dashboard, if you still have the similar errors with other plugins, find and delete them, until you can login it.

Now, login to the WordPress admin dashboard and reinstall the deleted plugins, they will now be installed with the latest and usually compatible versions; and your website will run with full functions as it had initially.

Thus, you should remember which errored plugins you have deleted, in order to reinstall them later. Good luck!
